One Voice
The 9/11 Memorial Art, Poetry, and Logo Contests are designed to keep alive the memory of our country’s first responders and heroes of the attack on New York City and Washington, D.C. on September 11, 2001. Most of today’s K-12 students were not alive when the attack occurred. This contest encourages these students to look back at this defining moment in our country’s history and honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. We hope to keep these heroes alive in all of our minds so that we may NEVER FORGET.
Art - Grand Prize (announced on September 11) is a paid trip to New York City to visit the National 9/11 Memorial for the high school student and two family chaperones (value up to $5000). Please see individual contest pages for details on all prizes.
Poetry - Grand Prize (announced on September 11) is a paid trip to New York City to visit the National 9/11 Memorial for the high school student and two family chaperones (value up to $5000). Please see individual contest pages for details on all prizes.
The teacher of the Grand Prize student in the Art and Poetry contests will also receive a paid trip to New York City to visit the National 9/11 Memorial.
All participants are invited to attend the culminating event – to celebrate our heroes and our contest winners with music and awards – on September 11, at the California 9/11 Memorial, Never Forget Lane, Clovis, CA, 93612. The event begins with a ceremony at 8:00 a.m.
